How to make a die-cut fence

Perhaps not everyone knows what a die cutting is, or what is also called a die cutting or cutting. If it is easier to explain, then this is just waste from the press industry with cut holes, that is, metal profiled sheets of not the highest quality, but quite suitable for the fence. The holes in the sheets can be of various shapes, mainly round, staggered. The main disadvantage of such a fence is that it quickly rusts, since sheets of ferrous metal are mainly used, therefore it requires constant care, that is, painting.

Set fence from die cutting is not difficult. First you need to choose the material, since the sheets come in different thicknesses. Usually, three millimeter steel strips are used for production, but they are also thicker, so it is better to choose them, then the fence will be more durable. Sections sell ready-made, of different sizes and thicknesses.

The installation procedure for the fence is the same as any metal fence. Mark up, determine the place for the pillars at a distance depending on the size of the sections you bought. Then dig holes with a depth of a meter and establish support bearings, level and fill with mortar. Wait until the concrete has completely hardened.
Sections are fastened by welding, if not, then bolts.

Preparing metal for painting is a very important part of the work, how the paint will be held depends on it. Equally important is the right choice of paint itself. For such a metal, oil and alkyd paints are used. They create a very strong protective film. Also, for ferrous metal, alkyd primers are used that contain compounds with phosphate or zinc.

Well crafted and painted fence it will last a long time, but still, every season it needs to be inspected and tinted if necessary.
