So that sunlight can penetrate everywhere, the upper part of the hedge remains slightly narrower than the bottom. Next year you can already give the hedge the desired shape. And this is done already after everything is trimmed to a rectangle.

To get straight lines along the hedge, pull the rope, and in two rows - at the top and bottom. These ropes will serve as guides along which the haircut will go. Branches protruding from the rope are cut with hedge trimmers. Electric brush cutters are very popular among gardeners, but the first time you should not use them, especially in the absence of experience.
