Pretty difficult to make chair. The author cut some parts on a CNC machine according to independently drawn drawings, and some had to be finished manually. The author used maple, this is a fairly solid tree, so in order to give the necessary forms, it was necessary to soak some parts in boiling water for a long time. Swinging chair made of metal rods

Do it yourself

A swinging chair made of metal pipes, you can still call this piece of furniture a swinging deck chair or a hammock (to whom, what is more seen in this item). The author made this chair out of 20 mm rods, of course it would be easier to use pipes, in which case the construction would be much easier. But the author took into account his welding experience and came to the conclusion that he would not be able to weld the pipes so tightly, and he decided to secure himself with 22 mm metal rods. (bending pipes also requires a certain skill and tool). Of particular difficulty is the bending of such strong and thick rods, for this he used a tree in the yard and a lever in the form of an additional pipe planted on the rod. By gradually bending and moving the rod between the trees, it is possible to achieve the necessary arc.

The author notes that it is better to think over the drawing in order to make the center of gravity so that the chair does not deviate so much backward (in the last photo, for a better view, the chair is backed up)

Rocking chair from a cable reel

If you have a reel from under the cable that does not belong to anyone else, then you can make a rocking chair out of it. Below you can see a detailed step-by-step master class on how such a rocking chair is made.

As you can see from the photo, the reel is disassembled, a groove for boards is cut out in circles, the rods are rearranged, under the future seat and everything is fastened. It turns out not very difficult and pretty nice chair.
