The vocation of any design element is to emphasize the general style of the home, and not to discord with it. The staircase in the photo is another example, as the only detail of the layout characterizes the general style of the cottage and its owners.
The staircase fulfills its direct purpose, from this point of view it is convenient, safe, beautiful. But it can be perceived as a storage place for a variety of things. Each step is at the same time a drawer. The space under the stairs is organized in a similar way. Already one view of it testifies that literally everything is beneficial in this house, nothing is wasted.
