How to make a well in a spring ^Favorite

The spring can be an excellent source of water, but it will be difficult to use it in its natural form, because a small amount of water usually comes to the surface, and secondly, it is inconveniently pure in practice, and therefore spring wells are built.

Before the start of construction, it is necessary to carry out the capturing, that is, to clear the source, remove deposits. At the place where the spring comes out, you need to dig a shallow hole, to the height of a standard concrete ring. It is not necessary to use a concrete structure, although it is very convenient, you can make a log house, put a box or dig a barrel with an embossed bottom. In general, there are many options.

Next, fill the space between the barrel, or what you install, with clay, preferably at least 15 centimeters thick. Fill the bottom with gravel or crushed stone to the same thickness, you can also use coarse river sand, then the layer can be made smaller. Be sure to check that the bottom of the barrel or ring is below the level of water rise. And in order to be safe, it is better to punch a hole in the side of the installed fence, or there is a chance that the water may leave this place, breaking its own other path.

In addition to these works, it is also necessary to establish a cover so that precipitation and dust from the wind do not fall into the spring well. Also around the well they make a blind area of ​​clay and cover it with boards or tiles, it does not matter from which, the main thing is that you can walk. It is also necessary to establish a fence to prevent animals from approaching the source.

To improve filtration in the middle of the well, you can make a vertical partition that will divide it into two parts, in one of them the bottom is strengthened with stone or brick. Then the water that comes from the soil and carries its particles will settle in one compartment and then pour over the top into another, from where it can already be taken for use.
