It will serve as a direction and boundary for the trench of the desired depth and width. The specific dimensions are determined depending on the type of plants and the purpose of the fence. So, if you plan to plant a two-row hedge, then the trench should be wider. Sufficiently mature plants can be planted not in a trench, but dig a separate hole for each.

The next step in planting will be preparing the soil for the seedlings. The top layer of soil, as the most fertile, is laid at the bottom of a trench or pit, and organic fertilizers are added - peat, for example, or manure. The bottom before this must be loosened. If the soil is too wet, they dig a trench 20 centimeters deeper and fill it with crushed stone. Now you can plant the plants that you have previously chosen for the hedge.

How exactly the seedlings will be placed depends on many factors: how fast they grow, how their crown develops, how many rows it is planned to plant.
