The construction of a brick fence involves a series of sequential actions. This and the choice of quality material, design drawing, pouring the foundation and masonry. Also, before starting construction, it is necessary to take care of the necessary tool:

• container for mixing concrete or if there is the possibility of a concrete mixer;
• grinder for concrete;
• medium trowel;
• tape measure and construction level;
• cord, hammer, shovel, buckets.

Quantity calculation and material selection

 

In principle, a fence can be built from any brick. Basically, the price of the fence will depend on this. You just need to at least have an idea of ​​what bricks are and their characteristics. Depending on your plans, you can buy a facing brick, then it does not need to be plastered. Of course, you can not plaster the red brick, if you have such a design idea, but then it will be destroyed faster. If you focus on the long-term fencing, you can purchase frost-resistant or refractory bricks.

The amount of material depends on the height and thickness of the future fence. Typically, the masonry is done in one and a half bricks, this thickness is suitable for a three-meter fence. If the planned fence will perform only decorative functions, then the thickness of the brick floor is enough. The calculation is not difficult to produce, 100 bricks are used per meter of single masonry and 200 double.

It is also necessary to prepare all the material for the foundation and masonry in advance. This is cement, reinforcement, sand, gravel. Even easier to buy a ready-made solution.

Brick Fence Design

 

The basis of your project is a quality drawing. Not everyone pays attention to this, preferring to do with eye calculations. As a result this leads to unnecessary material and time. Therefore, before designing, it is necessary to conduct all measurements on the ground. This will make it possible to correctly calculate the material and prevent mistakes during construction.

After that, with the help of stakes, cord and tape measure, it is necessary to mark on the ground. It is important to correctly mark the corners of the fence, they should be straight. Foundation construction

The first stage of work is the preparation of the trench. When using equipment (excavator), it is especially necessary to follow the preparation of the foundation of the trench and remove all irregularities manually. After that, lay the drainage layer - pour sand and gravel at the bottom of the trench, pour and tamp. The trench in depth should be no less than half a meter.

If there is a slope, formwork is used for leveling. The reinforcement is laid in a trench already half-poured with concrete and after that the rest of it is filled.

It must be ensured that no voids remain in the poured concrete mass.. Why is it necessary to slap it with a metal rod.
When the base is ready, it must be covered and maintained for 6 to 8 days until it gains strength.
Then treat with a waterproofing substance. To minimize the effect of moisture from the soil, it is recommended to resort to the help of aquaizole.

Masonry and plaster

 

The final stage of construction is bricklaying. There are different ways of laying, the traditional one for the fence is single-row laying, although many today resort to combined or openwork laying, which, of course, looks more aesthetically pleasing. In work, the main thing is to follow the sequence and monitor the dressing of the seams.
It is advisable to do everything in this sequence:

• lay several rows on the foundation;
• to fix orderings on the corners with nails;
• apply the solution, cleaning the excess with a trowel;
• the next row of wetted bricks is laid on top.

 

To maintain the level of masonry, you can make a wooden frame or just pull the cord (twine).
Do not forget to remove the excess solution and carefully level it. When the masonry is fully completed, be sure to treat the seams with a protective compound.

 

If you will plaster the fence, then you must do the following:

• dampen a brick wall;
• apply 10 - 15 mm plaster:
• wait for an hour until it dries;
• with a sharp edge to align the applied layer of plaster;
• so that there are no further cracks, moisten the plaster for two days;
• at the end, treat the wetted surface with a special grater.
