To paint a still strong, but long unpainted and already old fence, use the same means as painting a new fence. Before painting, the old fence is thoroughly cleaned of debris, dust and various vegetation. It is especially necessary to pay attention to the joints. Also, during cleaning, it should be carefully inspected for damage from termites. If you find these insects, then damaged boards must be replaced.
Then begins the most dreary work of removing old paint. You can do this with sandpaper, a spatula or a metal brush, which is more convenient for you. As it is not difficult, but it is necessary to remove all the old paint, otherwise only translate the new one in vain. Then carry out the usual painting. First apply a thin first layer of a special primer of alkyd-acrylic composition, then a layer of ordinary paint. Using this method, you get a durable coating, and updated fence will last a long time.
