From an unedged board you can build a beautiful and high-quality fence, you just need to choose the right material. If you have something to choose from, give preference to hardwoods, such boards can stand for decades, this is very good wood, though expensive and it’s hard to make a fence out of it. To screw in the screws, you have to lubricate them with linseed oil. In this regard, pine is more convenient, although the material is not so durable, but it is easier and it is much easier to process it.

Fir and spruce are also suitable, but preferably in a dry climate, the wood of these species is very sensitive to weather changes and can throw you unpleasant surprises. What definitely does not need to be done is to build gates and a gate from the spruce if you do not want constant distortions.

Installation of fencing from unedged boards is the same as during the construction of any wooden fence.
First, marking is carried out using pegs and a strong rope. Designate the places of the supporting posts, gates and gates. It is clear that the edged board will look bad with brick pillars. Since we are building an economical fence, it is better to use metal supports. It is possible and wooden, but for long-term construction, for obvious reasons, they are not suitable.

Pillars are installed in the usual manner. We prepare pits half a meter deep, ram the bottom and cover it with a rubyroid. We lay pieces of brick or large stone on top, this will be the pillar support so that the waterproofing does not break through.
