How to make a sofa out of bed with your own hands

Here is the way how to make an excellent sofa out of a single bed. First you find the bed frame - use the old one or even buy, it will still be cheaper. Then pick up the mattress, the stronger, the better. You will also need a saw, a paper clip gun, some fabric and a piece of plywood.
Cut the headboard. This is pretty easy to do, and you can save trim for future projects.
Measure the bed and buy a sheet of plywood, a couple of centimeters lessthan the selected bed frame. Then drill the boards to the back of the frame.
Glue the cold foam to the front and bend around the back. Fasten with a clamp and leave to dry overnight. Then need cloth up. Lift the mattress and attach the fabric with the base of the bed to get as tight as possible.

Stylish sofa bed

The goal of this project is to make a sofa, which, if necessary, can also be a bed (quite comfortable ...), and also serve as a case for a home theater. First do cardboard layout. Lay a large sheet on the ground and press it in the corners to match the bends and lines of the furniture. The result should be the same as in the photo. Put the layout on the workpiece and draw a shape with a pencil. Then cut the plywood. If the wood does not fit perfectly, try adjusting it with a saw and cut small pieces. Then do the legs. To create a durable sofa, the author used many legs. Attached the legs to the bottom with L-shaped metal rods.

Before proceeding, check if the home theater system fits the center box. Add the top pieces, making sure they fit close to the wall and the bends of the furniture. Cut a square from the top of the plywood to provide easy access to your home theater. The hole will be covered by a cut piece of plywood. Tip: For durability of the sofa, attach the upper parts to the legs through metal rods in the shape of L, or you can tighten the screws directly. Then make walls and paint. To hide the legs, use a sheet of plywood. First cut the thin plywood to the height of the sofa bed, then attach to the center with 2 screws. Slowly bend the plywooduntil it touches the corner of the sofa, attach with two screws. Repeat for the other part of the sofa bed. Paint the box with black paint (preferably matte), and plywood with white paint. When the paint dries, you can cover the cut square with plywood. Tip: To access the middle, simply remove the 2 screws from the corner. Then make the soft part of the sofa bed from foam and fabric.
