In our latitudes, the through roof of the pergola makes this beautiful building suitable for relaxation, except in summer, and in good weather. Its purpose can be more likely defined as decorative. Nevertheless, resting here can be very cozy and pleasant. And if the structure is twisted with climbing plants, as conceived by those who invented the Roman veranda, then when the heat is standing, it is especially pleasant in the pergola.

Often a pergola is built in the garden not so much as a useful building, but as a decoration of the garden. Around it, you can plant climbing plants that find support in its weaves, or you can plant flowering plants as shown in the photo.
