There is, of course, a budgetary method, for example, without concreting, cover the walls of the pit with plastic bags filled with sand, and lay the bottom with a waterproofing strong film. You just need to carefully insert a hole in the film for draining with a cork (as in a bath) and install a plastic pipe.

But if the finished rigid form is not suitable for you, and you decide to equip the pond with your own hands, then concrete work is indispensable. In addition, you still have to spend money on waterproofing so that concrete does not quickly collapse. It is recommended to buy special rubber, which is designed for a long service life, although it is not cheap. And buy with a margin of not less than half a meter. The edges should go outside, then they can be masked with small boulders, stones, plants in pots.

Do not forget that the reservoir should be cleaned every year. At first the water will be a little muddy. But do not be upset when snails, water striders and other inhabitants start up, the water will become clear. Do not poison them with bleach, of course in this case the water will be relatively clean, but dead. If you plant some plants around a reservoir, do not forget to look after them and remove dead stems in time.
Pay attention to the choice of a water pump, on this issue it is better to consult a specialist who will tell you what kind of power is needed to ensure a normal flow of water. Well, the garden interior, paths - it's all a fantasy for yourself, or hire a landscape designer.
