For example, ordinary and hollow bricks were laid, which have different characteristics, and they also used material designed for other climatic conditions and unstable to low temperatures.

The base was not waterproofed correctly, which made it possible for water to enter the brickwork, and this could provoke the occurrence of microcracks.

The foundation was not worked out enough, that is, the degree of freezing was incorrectly calculated, a weak foundation was laid that did not meet the load, and a sufficient layer of sand and gravel substrate was not laid.

All these reasons lead to the gradual destruction of the brick fence and the need for its repair, and this process is not easy and requires a lot of labor. But still I want to note that although it is difficult to restore a brick fence, it is still better than completely replacing the masonry.
