To make the right choice, it is necessary to take into account some key factors:

• where is the aquifer located and what is its volume;
• what are the traditional methods for extracting water from a well in a given area;
• how much water will you need for farming;
• how much do you expect when building a well and what are you willing to bear the costs of its operation;
• what material is more preferable for you - pipes, wood or concrete.

The most popular types of wells are tubular, shaft and key.
The latter is the most economical and simple. The key well is equipped at the place where the fontanel or key breaks through, which in turn can be upward or downward. Ascending, this is one that, under pressure, makes its way out of the ground, and descending, it flows down the slope. The task is simple, to equip a log house or masonry with a tray for collecting water.

Another, mine type of well is built in those places where groundwater does not come to the surface, but is located at a depth of up to twenty-five meters. Such wells are made traditionally, that is, a hole is dug until water appears. Mine wells, depending on how the water enters them, are also of different types. These are those where the entry goes through the walls or the bottom, they are called imperfect. Another view is where water enters through a reservoir. And the last species is the underbarrel, with an additional tank. When using a mine well, it should be remembered that there must be a balance between water consumption and its intake, care must be taken to prevent its stagnation, otherwise the water will quickly become worthless and cannot be used.

Another type of well is tubular. This is a kind of artesian well on a reduced scale. That is, it is introduced into the soil by the method of a drill pipe with a tip to the aquifer. If there is no water pressure from below, then a pump is equipped in the pipe.
In this case, special equipment is needed, it’s not realistic to make such a well manually. Therefore, tubular wells are not cheap, but have an undoubted advantage, the water in them is always clean and does not stagnate, as, for example, in mine wells.
